My Dirty Digger’s Diary

My Diggers diary
This week we learnt about ANZAC Day and what it means to us. When we learnt the slang words we wrote a diggers diary. Below is my diggers Diary of what it was like in WW1.

25th of December 1915
I shot me last bullet and then I went over. Finally us blokes can get some rest. If I was home I’d get a ” g’day mate” and lamb. At least it’s Christmas and the Turks are now friends for a day. The Sergeants are making a self firing rifle for the great escape. But that won’t happen blooming soon will it? At least I have time to talk to Jonny Turk and write in my diary. Glad I’ve got food.
